As if gnomes weren't adorable and charming already, make one knitted and pocket-sized and they become completely delightful! Right? Think of sitting one of these little guys on your desk or propping one next to your favorite indoor plant and this is one kit that is way too hard to resist! What about taking a gnome on all of your travels and taking pictures to send your friends? Amelie would have been even better if that was a knitted gnome she sent around the world!

These friendly, little gnomes are perfect to give as gifts, or even to make up as party favors (if you can manage to part with the adorableness once you are finished!). Our Pocket Gnome pattern is a quick and fun knit and you will find yourself making a whole house full of knitted gnomes! Gnomes are supposed to bring good luck, so why not fill your house with them? You can also use the pattern to make multiple sizes of gnome, depending on what weight yarn you use. Fingering weight yarns are perfect for pocket gnomes, but bulky yarns make a gnome you can cuddle! We know, you didn't think this pattern could get any better, but it totally did once you found out you could knit all kinds of sizes of gnome. That "Buy Now" button is right there up to your right...

Gauge: You pick! Simply knit with your choice of yarn on needles 2-3 sizes smaller than called for to get a tight knit fabric your stuffing won't show through.

Needles: You pick! A 40" or longer circular needle (for Magic Loop Method) in a size right for your yarn. See the pattern for more info.

Notions: Scissors, tapestry needle, beginning of the round stitch marker (removable or closed), optional row counter, 8 removable stitch markers, stuffing, and a set of safety eyes (or other eye choice such as buttons or scrap yarn for embroidery).

Finished size: Your finished size will depend on what weight yarn you use. The sock weight yarn samples measure about 5.5” tall with 6mm safety eyes. The worsted weight sample measure approximately 8” tall with 9mm safety eyes. The bulky weight sample measure approximately 11” tall with 11mm safety eyes. (All measurements are hat to toes) Increasing the weight of your yarn, or even holding yarn double and working the pattern on larger needles will create larger finished friends.
