The beach is our happy place and we love all things sea related. We didn't figure we could get through our first summer in business without making an adorable pocket mermaid to celebrate our summer and sea love!
These majestic little mermaids are perfect to give as gifts, or even to make up as party favors (if you can manage to part with the adorableness once you are finished!). Our Pocket Mermaid kit comes packaged in a darling cupcake box complete with a handle on top, and would make a delightful gift for your knitting friend, too. Plus this is a quick and fun knit and you will find yourself making a whole house full of little-knitted magical mermaids! You can also use the pattern to make multiple sizes of mermaids, depending on what weight yarn you use as illustrated in the last photo. We know, you didn't think this kit could get any better, but it totally did once you found out you could knit all kinds of sizes of mermaids. That "Buy Now" button is right there up to your right...
This kit is packed with pure awesomeness and includes the materials you need to knit 2 small mermaids in the round:
Intermediate Knitting Pattern with a download code for the pdf version of the pattern
100% Wool Fingering Weight Yarn in 5 colors
Two sets of 6mm safety eyes
All you will need to complete your fabulous friend is a US Size 1 (2.25 mm) circular needle, a tapestry needle, 8 removable stitch markers, and scissors! If you are a tighter knitter you might be more comfortable using US Size 2 (2.75mm) needles instead. Please note we do offer that you can add a set of stitch markers in a small tin to your kit for only $6. These markers are perfect for our small fingering kits! It includes 24 removable markers and 4 closed, snag-free shaped markers for the beginning of the round all in a cute little tin. You can see the tin of markers listing here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/611982215/wicked-chickens-yarn-stitch-marker-set?ref=shop_home_active_1
Finished mermaids are approximately 4.5" tall.
The kit will come complete with a printed version of the pattern, but there will also be a download code on your pattern for the pdf version of the pattern. The download is through Ravelry.com, but you do not need a Ravelry account to download the pattern. The pattern is designed by author and designer Rebecca Danger, known for her whimsical monster and creature knitting patterns.
*****Please note, you will not receive the finished items shown in this listing, only the materials to create them yourself (or give to your crafty friends).*****
